High blood pressure?

Every time I go to the doctor my blood pressure is "normal" so I have not been Diagnosed. But here lately I have been dizzy while driving, walking and such. When I walked into the store this afternoon I felt like I was flying above myself. I got dizzy and I sat down. It happens when I鈥檓 driving to the point where I grab my steering wheel tightly as not to fall or go off the road. I am overweight and I have not taken any meds except for lexapro 20 mg (over a year) and lunesta since November 06. I am not driving while the effects of the lunesta are still present. I have taken my BP at my moms house and it has been slightly high on occasion. Does it sound like high blood pressure to you? Either way I am going to call the nurse in the morning and tell her I just wanted opinions about it.
Answer:
I think it will turn out not to be high blood pressure. Other possibilities are side-effects from the Lunesta or Lexapro, blood sugar problems, vertigo, ear infection and inner ear problems, to name a few.
I am glad you're getting it checked out - best of luck.
no if anything it sounds like low blood pressure. The dizziness could also be a side effect of lexapro.
Sounds that way. Why not lose some weight and lower your sodium intake. This will help take the BP down.
It sounds like it could be a blood pressure issue. It also could be an inner ear thing going on throws off balance and causes dizziness. My migraines will also do that too me. They are not like the ones everyone knows about but it has made me think I was looking through crumbled up saran wrap and was also dizzy. Also On other thing is have you noticed that it happens we you skip eating a proper meal? My sugar level drops I get dizzy, sweaty, shaky, and my heart beats faster.
High blood pressure (Hypertension) and low blood pressure (Hypotension) both cause dizziness. You should relax for at least 15 minutes prior to taking your BP. There are alot of different reasons that cause dizziness. My advice to you is make an appt. w/ your physician especially if your driving.
That's smart move, make a appointment. It could be lots of things, no sense in making a diagnose; ask them to give you a panel, that will tell you exacting what is going on with your health. Good Luck!
I had high blood pressure too,and my DR. told to me to back off the salt, and alcohol. Since I did that, my blood pressure has been normal. You know too much weight is not good, as it can give you more problems, so I am glad you are going to see the nurse. You might think about having a complete physical, just to make sure everything is OK.
Kayla,
Make an appointment, but in the mean time... Just remember, these are only symptoms. God has given you the power to receive healing by His hand.God Bless.`
