Hi I have had sore hips (and knees) for a few years now. It's worse at night and wakes me up.?

I have to move postions until it builds up again. i think it's worse in winter and it feels similar to when i was pregnant and my body was preparing for birth and becomiong more supple. My youngest child is 9 years old now!~ Any ideas?
Answer:
I would guess that you are suffering from arthritis. It can start showing up at any age, and in different degrees pain wise.
I couldn't believe it when I started to feel it, I thought I was way to young and also I had no idea it could hurt so bad!!
Try Aleve Liquid Gels before you go to bed, they have Naproxen, it is what a doctor would normally prescribe for the first stages of
arthritis, also Bio Freeze works well as a rub on. Get as much exercise as you can, and try not to baby your "achy"
areas. You are right, arthritis does flair up more when it is cold, and also rain and humidity can effect it/you.
Good Luck to you,and please know, you are not alone! lol
There are alot of us on this site so if you have questions, you are in the right place!!
This sounds like arthritis to me. You might try taking aspirin or ibuprofen; if that helps, then it's probably time to go to your doctor to talk about how to deal with the problem. I can sympathize, as I've had to deal with it in a few joints since my 20s; now that I'm in my 50s, it's a part of life, but it's manageable. Good luck.
It's x-ray time. You should probably get a bone density test too.
