Hip problems?

for as long as i can remember i have randomly had a problem where my hip and thigh will just randomly get a steady(not shooting) sharp pain down the front but its only when i am walking (not just sitting). well now it has gotten a lot worse and it feels like that everytime i get up from a sitting positionand then sometimes it will "fade away" and sometimes it gets a lot worse and i dont really know what is causing this pain. i wonder if it is some kind of pinched nerve (but there is no tingling sensation). does anyone know what the problem may be? there is no way that i can stop the pain...unless i sit down...but i just have to let it go away on its own. and i have found myself subconsciously walking differently to try to make the pain stop but that never works. any help would be appreciated.
Answer:
There could be several things that may be wrong with the hip. The most simple cause is a muscle spasm of your hip flexors. Try to stretch the muscles by getting down on 1 knee (on the side that hurts) and lunge as far forward as you can while keeping your body upright. You should feel a stretch in the front of your hip. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds and do it twice. Do this for a couple of days...if you see no change then I would recommend you see an orthopedic doctor to have your hip examined and have x-rays done.
Go and see a doctor.
i had the same problem some years ago. that ended by a hip joint replacement-prosthesis. consult a good orthopaedic surgeon
A lot of this depends on your age. Certainly you could have a degenerative hip condition if you were older, a fracture if you can recall some trauma to the leg, bursitis from over use but that is not very long term. If you are younger and athletic then you have probably fixated your sacro-iliac joint and its not wanting to move forward in extension. Go see a chiropractor. They can rule out all that severe stuff and send you where you need to go. More than likely it's something simple and they can help you in a couple of treatments.
Definitely is Sciatica.Look it up on the internet.
