Help! Have i torn a muscle?

How do i know if this pain in the back of my leg, i got from a handstring stretch has torn my muscle if it has what can i do about it?
Answer:
If it's torn, you'll see some bruising coming out over the next couple of hours (if you just hurt it today), usually at the sore spot, or lower down your leg - at the back of the ankle.
If there's no bruising, you probably just hurt it by overstretching. Rest it for today, apply an icepack every couple of hours for ten minutes (no longer), then start bending your knee tomorrow, until you can bend it fully. Switch to applying heat tomorrow evening and it will probably clear up in a few days.
Never bounce when you're stretching - any stretch should hold the muscle at full length (discomfort, never pain) for the duration of the stretch.
the best thing to do is rest ur leg. dont try stretching coz that'll make it worse. i tore the my muscle doing the splits and its taken a year to repair itself fully. i had to stop training for a while and had to completly stop capoeira and rested it till it got better and now a can use it normally now
TRY AND STRETCH, I PULLED SOMETHING LIKE TAT IN THE BACK OF MY LEG, IT IS SORE, BUT STRETCH, OR WALK OR SOMETHING.
if its a torn muscle, it will hurt like the dickens when you walk. and you cant really do anything other than alternate heat then ice, for the next few days,
i would tell you to see a docter but if that isnt possible than you should keep a close eye on it and put ice and heat on it if you have torn your muscle than you would be hurting a lot! and i hope you feel better
go and have massage this will relieve the muscle from a spasm to a hurt feelin but wont last for long ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ow bet it hurts have a warm bath. then put a cushion under your leg wen sleepin ..i know its a PAIN but it will get you through the nite ...
