Help with an injury sustained in soccer?

Ppl help! How do i treat a torn knee ligament sustained while playin soccer?
Answer:
R=rest, I=ice , C=compresion, Elevation. dont strech it or put too much weight on it the first comple of days. slowly do physical therapy workouts you can find bying looking them up, just depends what ligament you pulled.
it really depends on which ligament you injured and how severe the injury is but no matter what ligament it is you can also follow R.I.C.E. -* Rest the injury by avoiding movement of the affected joint.
* Ice packs should be applied to the knee to reduce swelling.
* Compress the joint by bandaging it, firmly but not too tightly, with an elasticated support bandage.
* Elevate the knee by keeping it supported above your heart, especially at night while sleeping.
You have to stay in bed or at least rest it for a while. ive played soccer for 8 years, and ive torn mine twice. It'll hurt for a little while. but if you use the rice method it will eventually heal itself. or if you dont feel comfortable, go to a doctor and they'll help you a little bit more. i had to let mine heal the second time though.
grr.
Going to depend on the grade of sprain. All you can do is follow the advice already given unless it is complete tear. Then there is nothing other then surgery or live with it.
